Winemaker's Dinner: Shiraz Sessions
There’s something truly special about gathering around good food and wine – especially when it’s cold outside. Our 2025 Winemaker’s Dinner Series once again opens the doors to the beautifully restored Spier Manor for six intimate evenings with the people who walk the vineyards and work in the cellar vintage after vintage.
Limited to just 22 guests seated at one long table, each dinner focuses on a single grape variety showcased in all its versatile forms. Each varietal voyage is paired with a four-course meal drawing inspiration from the farm’s seasonal bounty, much of it sourced directly from our farm.

What to expect
There’s something about Shiraz that just belongs in winter. Join our Winemakers Heidi and Heinrich around our Manor House table as they share their favourite expressions of this noble grape – from our pure, vibrant single-vineyard bottlings to the artful Creative Block blends where Shiraz brings its distinctive character. The evening features smoky, slow-cooked dishes that complement Shiraz’s natural spice character, all prepared over open flames – perfect companions for these robust reds.
