There’s something very special about gathering good people around good food and of course, good wine.
When the wine flows, stories follow – and that’s exactly what our 2025 Winemaker Dinner Series is about. This year, we’re once again opening the doors to our beautifully restored farm Manor House, inviting you to join our winemakers – the very people who walk the vineyards and work in the cellar – for an intimate evening of shared insight about the wines they know and love. Limited to just 22 guests seated at one long table, here’s our line-up:
2025 Winemaker Dinners Series Dates and Themes:
16 May: Mastering Chenin
6 June: Shiraz Sessions
4 July: A Cabernet Celebration
1 August: Our Pinotage Legacy
5 September: Bubbles In Bloom
3 October: Our Sauvignon Blanc Story
R850 per person includes a four-course meal with paired wines.
A Varietal Voyage
This year, we’re keeping things simple – and special – by focusing each dinner on a single grape variety, showcased in all its versatile and glorious forms. You’ll explore how one varietal can express itself differently depending on where it’s grown, how it’s made and how long it’s aged.
Our winemakers will guide you through side-by-side tastings that reveal the full character of each grape. You might discover how our coastal Chenin Blanc contrasts with vines grown along mountain slopes, or how Shiraz evolves when bottled alone versus as part of a blend.
Good Food from Good Soils
As always, each four-course meal draws inspiration from our farm’s seasonal bounty. We’ve timed these dinners to match nature’s rhythm – autumn flavours with Chenin in May, hearty winter dishes with Cabernet Sauvignon in July and spring’s fresh offerings with Cap Classique in September. Indeed, most of what you’ll eat has travelled just a few steps from our food garden or from trusted neighbours like Farmer Angus, whose regenerative approach mirrors our own.
Each event is priced at R850 per person, inclusive of the evening’s meal and wine pairings. With just 22 seats available each evening, these tables fill quickly with both newcomers and friends who return year after year. If you value wines with a sense of place, food with a story and conversation that flows as freely as what’s in your glass, we’d love to welcome you.
